Here’s a chance to capture the sparkle or sparks of joy in my ordinary, well lived life from this January.
Watching our basketball player back on the court and loving every minute of it – its especially sweet after she spent most of the season last year benched due to injury. And watching our family fall in love with card games of all kinds. Sideshow Swap is pretty good, but has a strong element of chance in the mix, so my strategy loving heart is is captured by Cat Lady.
Eating chocolate cake from scratch – a recipe Penny has nearly perfected all on her own. Drinking Boba Tea, we even learned how to make it at home and it tastes *almost* as good. Creating TikTok cloud bread, but after three attempts, we decided cloud bread looks cool, but tastes like sugary scrambled eggs.
Hanging with family – whether that’s doing an amazing trip to iFly, meeting cousins for a chilly hike or catching up on hugs in the kitchen.
Waiting for our home to ready for us to move back into… a little bit alarmed when I walked in and there was a large hole in the foundation and a pile of dirt in the middle of the floor, but it seems like they are doing steady work, and we should see a lot of progress in February!
