Photos 8×10 or smaller: $0.49/photo (a 1″ stack is roughly 100 photos)

Negatives or slides: $0.69/photo

Oversized items: $0.99/page
(up to 12×17)

Most orders are completed within 2-3 weeks.

WHAT IS THE CHARGE TO GET STARTED?
There’s no deposit to get started. If you are local to me in Fairfax, Virginia, I can provide you with an address to drop off if you like, otherwise, I have a separate mailing address for all packages. You will pay to ship the items. I scan them and send an invoice when the project is complete.

DO I GET MY PHOTOS BACK?
It’s up to you! On the Project Form, you’ll indicate if you want me to return the original items in addition to the digital files. Shipping charges for return of your items will be included on your invoice.

HOW DO YOU DELIVER THE DIGITAL FILES?
The digital files are returned on a flash drive- one is included with each scanning project at no charge. If you’d like additional flash drives (maybe one for every sibling, for example) I charge the cost of the drive.

HOW ARE THE DIGITAL FILES ORGANIZED?
I create a digital folder structure that matches your physical organization. If your photos are organized into envelopes labeled by year, I will create digital folders that match those years. Each envelope will become its own digital folder.

No organization is required for this project. Many clients just send a box of loose photos. But any organizing you have, I will preserve it digitally.

SHOULD I REMOVE PHOTOS FROM THE ALBUMS OR SEND THE ALBUMS TOO?
Your choice! I will remove them from the albums at a cost of $40 per hour (charged in 15 minute increments). I will not reassemble albums unless requested at the time of booking. Plastic sheets on older albums may be damaged in the pursuit of carefully removing the photos.

HOW SHOULD I SHIP THE ITEMS SO THEY DON’T GET DAMAGED?
I will provide shipping instructions + a PO Box address after you book below.

I’M NERVOUS TO SHIP MY MEMORIES – WHAT SHOULD I DO?
If you’re nervous about shipping, consider sending items to me in smaller batches. You don’t need to put everything in one box, at the same time!

CAN I INCLUDE VIDEOS + PHOTOS IN THE SAME BOX?
Of course! I’ll digitize prints, negatives, slides, VHS Tapes, camcorder tapes, CDs, DVDs, and video reels – you can send me all of it!
